Neck Wrinkles

Our neck is often neglected as part of our beauty routines, yet it can show early signs of aging. This can be due to various factors, from sun exposure to weight loss/gain and even simply genetics.

Due to the inevitable breakdown of collagen and elastin, the skin will become drier and thinner over time. This will result in loose skin and a lack of volume. Weaker muscles will also begin to play a role, diminishing the skin’s ability to stay firm. Over time, the skin will become very lax, forming multiple wrinkles.

We use hyaluronic dermal fillers to smooth, firm, and plump the neck area.

Injections are placed evenly across the neck to improve the condition of the skin, increasing hydration, firmness, and elasticity. We can also apply dermal filler directly to neck bands if needed, making them less visible.

Immediately after treatment, you will notice a plumping effect. The skin will appear smoother, tighter, and more hydrated. You will also see fewer wrinkles when turning your head or bending your neck.

However, the natural property of hyaluronic acid is to absorb water. This will occur over time, meaning you won’t see the full effects of our neck treatments for lax skin until about three to four weeks post-treatment.
